Len enjoyed so many things. As a young man he cycled a lot. He went on 100 mile endurance rides. Took off on Sundays to North Wales, Southport etc. He was proud of his custom built bike. A Dawes with a 531 frame.

He was a keen photographer and developed his own prints. He entered competitions and won some! He built up a hi-fi system, enjoyed all sorts of music but especially jazz and big band. He did all his own decorating and would have a go at anything DIY.

He enjoyed gardening and had an allotment. He planned for his retirement by building a shed and equipping it with a lathe and other tools so he could make a clock from scratch.

He enjoyed playing and watching snooker on TV, took an interested in current affairs.
